Pine Mountain, Sherwood Tribe seek city water

Council members made decisions last month about water connections to Pine Mountain and a tribal housing project on East Side Road. 

Council member’s decision on Pine Mountain came down to deciding if the city would approve a “memorandum of understanding” for the rural subdivision to further explore and fund a project that could someday connect Pine Mountain homes to City of Willits water. 

Materials attached to the agenda refer to the project as an “emergency intertie” that would “be a reliable, long-term supply of potable water for Pine Mountain residents.”
