A draft budget proposing a two-year-budget advanced Monday at a city council budget workshop.
Expect council members to take formal action June 22 to approve the budget.
And if you thought a budget workshop would be a simple meeting, you are wrong.
Councilwoman Madge Strong raised a question about why the draft budget depicted budgeted money from previous years and not actual revenue or spending.
