Rails and trails

It’s a mark of progress when environmental documents for a project come up for public review and approval by the city council.

The Willits Rail Trail that will stretch from Commercial Street to East Hill Road is at that juncture with CEQA documents released last week.

WRT plans include three bridges with no in-water construction planned. (Image: City of Willits)

A grant-funded project, WRT will be about 1.6 miles long.

A public hearing happens Wednesday April 27, 6:30 PM, at the city council meeting.
